Lee, Tsao, Ferrante

This presentation celebrates three accomplished artists during the gallery's 30th anniversary, bringing together pivotal periods and key works that have been integral parts of important museum exhibitions or other significant and defining projects during each artist's career.

Mariano Ferrante represents “one of the most innovative geometric abstract artists working in Argentina today.” His densely patterned works engage constructivist, concrete, and neo-concrete art movements as they were manifested in Latin America. He's described as “a dedicated and obsessive researcher, a scientist, looking into and constantly re-elaborating the act of painting.”

The exhibition also features work by Il Lee, spanning five decades of practice, and Richard Tsao's process-based paintings born from his “flood room” studio in New York.
